The SATC Countdown...

In exactly 30 days...Put your going-out outfits on...leave your man at home...have drinks afterwards to discuss...and make a girl's-night out of it. Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda would approve.

Mmm... pesticides

Organic is the way to go. Not only is it better for you, it also tastes waaaay better than foods that are processed or pesticide laden. Wild Harvest just came out with their line of over 200 products. Doesn't hurt to try, then when you feel and look better because you've been eating organically, you'll buy more. Then, companies will start to see it in the profits, then the trend will be to start offering more organic and healthy foods to America. Get it?

Absolut Stella

That could be you whispering in Stella's ears as long as you're not Heather Mills or wearing leather shoes at a cocktail party May 7 from 9-11 p.m. at Neiman Marcus Fashion Island. Meet Stella McCartney...Music, Models, Fashion and More.

Contact NM at 949-759-1900 for additional info.

Here's also a beautiful floral dress from her Spring 08 collection (on the gorgeous Stam) that I wanted to post just for kicks.

MOM is WOW upside down

If your mom is like mine and she doesn't care for material things really, you can get her these sprinkles MOM cupcakes for Mutha's Day. They come in Lemon, Dark Chocolate, Red Velvet and Vanilla. And if your mom is also like mine and she doesn't care for sweets either, you can eat these yourself. I have alterior motives, yes, but it's the thought that counts.

How Many Licks

http://www.baskinrobbins.com/Promotion/31cent.aspx

Baskin Robbin's is offering 31cents a scoop ice cream tonight from 5-10 p.m. to honor America's firefighters. Thank goodness the fire fighters were there to fight this morning's blaze at BASQUE on Hollywood and Vine. They deserve a gallon-tub of ice cream.

Summer 2008

Are you ready?

So, whatever number comes out, divide that by half and you'll be ready to rock your VIX bikini's by this Summer... and then you can go about posting the best pictures of yourself on your Myspace like you do.

Coldplay's, Violet Hill

I just heard their song off their upcoming album, "Viva La Vida" on 98.7 this morning on the way to work. You can also download it for free for one week on the band's website at http://www.coldplay.com/

The song, of course, is magnificent.

Thought of the Day

McDonald's in Japan has just introduced its "Mega Mac" which is four patties and cheese for lunch, and you can have the equivalent for breakfast and dinner.

Hmm... if one in three, or 58 million American adults aged 20 through 74 are overweight.... and the Japanese, and other countries globally are eating like Americans...

The BEST sunscreen in the WORLD

It's fking hot.

La Roche-Posay Anthelios is arguably the best sunscreen in the world, with dermatologists all over the world recommending this.

This sunscreen works so well because of the chemical "Mexoryl," which is well-known all over the world to protect skin from wrinkle-causing UVA rays. (Most sunscreens only protect against UVB rays).

How good is Mexoryl? "It produces a product which gives us almost perfect protection against sunshine," said Dr. Vincent DeLeo, chairman of dermatology at Columbia University to ABC News.

Remember, the sun is the hottest from 10-3 p.m., so pick your battles.

SATURDAYS at AREA

I'm not trying to promote for them like Heidi does at her fake "job", I just thought you might need something to do tonight. Put on your Elizabeth and James sequined jersey mini skirt and get your groove on. Shake that ass that you don't eat for.

Just lookin' out.

Now Open! at Fashion Island

I love Fashion Island. They've been good to me...I've worked there 2 different times in my day while in college. They've opened as well as will open some new stores this year.

NOW OPEN:
Pinkberry

COMING SOON:
Trina Turk- Fall 2008 (known for her flattering fits, colors and graphic prints)
Dita Legends- Summer 2008 (luxury sunglasses made from high quality materials from Japan)
Canaletto Ristorante-Summer 2008 (upscale Venetian-themed Italian by the founders of Il Fornaio restaurants)

That said, I still think OC needs better boutiques and shops. More like LA, but without the crazies.

Have you ever wanted to learn a new language or write a love letter in French for free?

Hurley Sale

You've seen the Hurley building driving up the 405.

I went to the Hurley warehouse sale that was down the street today at lunch with the coworkers. I ended up leaving, there was a long line and plus I didn't want an unecessary flip-flop tan. People were probably picking up things they could sweat it out in at Cochella this weekend.

It's going on all this weekend on Main and MacArthur in Irvine.
We're going to the new Pinkberry today too- it just opened up at the District in Tustin. Finally!

Blow Him

Away with this Barbecue Chicken Quesadilla recipe.

I made this one time for him and he absolutely loved it. He's the steak and potatoes kind-of-guy, the type of guy that shovels his food down his throat without the need to breathe and always finishes what I can't. Trust me, he will love it and ask for 2nd's and 3rds. It's super EZ to make, trust me, I like to take the shortest route too.

Ingredients:
1 red onion, sliced thin
1 bell pepper, red or green, sliced thin
2 tablespoons butter
1 cup cooked chicken, shredded (use that ready rotissierie chicken at the market)
1/2-1 cup barbecue sauce
1-2 cup monterey jack cheese, shredded
cilantro, chopped (optional)
4 large flour tortillas
additional barbecue sauce

Directions:
1) Saute onions and bell peppers in pan with butter. Remove from pan and set aside.
2) In another pan heat through shredded chicken with bbq sauce.
3) Lightly butter one side of a tortilla.
4) Place butter side down in saute pan.
5) Quickly add some of the cheese, chicken and onions, peppers and cilantro to one half of tortilla. Then quickly fold in half forming a semi-circle.
6) Continue to cook until bottom side is golden brown, then carefully flip quesadilla over.
7) Brown other side and remove from pan.
8) Repeat with remaining ingredients.
9) Cut quesadilla into wedges and serve with additional barbecue sauce.

The More You Know...

What are you going to use yours on?!

Los Angeles (LAX) to Paris (CDG) is at this season's alltime low...$714. Save $614 off the average low. Fares to Paris are only going to rise from here...

While you are there, you can check out Pete Doherty's exhibition now showing at the Chappe Gallery...this one is his tribute to Ms. Kate Moss using his own blood.

It's FRIDAY!!

Foods with personality... and you thought you were a charmer.

Splurge vs. Steal

Stand out from the crowd of cougars in this draped jersey dress which would go perfect with some strappy sandals and a saucy attitude this weekend at Three-Thirty-Three.

http://www.captpink.com/ 's version is only $28 and

Frankly, I'd go for captpink's version, because my girlfriend rocked this dress and I totally thought it was the Yyigal version I saw at the new Intermix boutique which neighbors the Jimmy Choo and John Varvatos stores.

Dary, Lina and Janene

Last night, after the Calvin Klein opening party at SC Plaza, which was a HIT, I had dinner at Hamamori, the sushi restaurant I always wanted to try which is where Bangkok Four used to be. Eating there is like eating Japanese art...at one point one of our dishes had real gold flakes speckled on it. The last course in our 8-course tasting menu was this piece of heaven right here. The carmel garnish you see is made from aged 18-year old whiskey, which was carmelized into that glaze. I wanted to clap at that dessert and give it a standing ovation.

Spring's Best Hairstyle

Messy Waves are IN... I love messy waves because any one who knows me, knows that I rarely use a comb ever. I despise perfect-looking hair. It's so Stepford wife to me and I just can't do it.

Seen all over the runways here at Gucci (on the beautiful Julia Stegner who I have a MAJOR girl crush on), and also the Thakoon and Etro shows.

Revolve's Hittin' the Streets!

I like Revolveclothing.com. They carry what cool girls like to wear. But this August, it will open its doors in a freestanding store on 8452 Melrose Avenue in Lost Angeles.

When will Shopbop do the same?!

I really LOVE this Aussie line Insight's Cybernetix Playsuit and have had my eye on it literally for months. I think I'm going to get it, but first I need to get a good golden tan.

Bessie and the Laughing Cow aren't working any overtime. Loosely translated by yours truly: save your $$$, and try to pay all your bills off by the end of this year.

Mandy Moore

Mandy Moore running errands in LA in Chloe's Leather Shoe Boots. They're $645 on http://www.net-a-porter.com/product/30945

The question remains: who runs errands in shoes like those?

Nip/Tuck

FHM's come out with their list of the "Sexiest Woman in the World" Poll:

1) Megan Fox-can't act for shit

2) Jessica Biel-man or woman?

3) Jessica Alba-mommy

4) Elisha Cuthbert-porn star

5) Scarlett Johansson-i'm neutral

6) Emmanuelle Chriqui-who?

7) Hilary Duff-horseface veneer lover

8) Tricia Helfer-dunno?

9) Blake Lively-she's probably the GG

10) Kate Beckinsale- I do have to agree entirely

Burn!

The LA Times came out with this article on The Hill's Lauren Conrad. Put on some sunscreen, honey, cause you've been burned! Ouch!

Maybe she should come home here to OC. We're much more underdeveloped over here. All we care about is shoes and handbags. We'll take her photoshopped abdominals back as long as she officially stops designing overpriced dresses that look like they're from Forever XXI.

More I Adore

Phillip Lim used to design for Development before creating his current 3.1 by Phillip Lim line. I have a see-through flowered-print top that I absolutely treasure that he designed for Development. It's one of those tops you love so much that you don't want to wear a lot because you want to keep it in it's perfection forever. The line's new designer, Erica Davies, is more London-meets-LA. When the two collide, distinctive and modern is created.

Gilt Groupe is now having their Development sale on now!!!

COACH Fans

I was shocked when my sister said last night that Coach was selling their NEW! miniaudierres. Not bad at all, considering creative director Reed Krakoff has totally reinvented Coach's image when he took over the reigns. Here are a few versions of the same one. It would make for a great Mother's Day gift if you don't mind spending your economic stimulus check on her.

London's Forever 21?

Topshop's style notes has just alerted me yet again: Their mid-season sale is on. Most items are about 1/2 off. I see a lot of the Balenciaga-like florals, and lots of gladiator sandals for Spring.
I like this Ombre Print Dress now 25Euros from 50.

When will TopShop come to the States?! Because I don't know how to convert Euros to $$.

Wednesday...

She awoke at at 1 p.m., went to have coffee at Urth with Sofia and chainsmoked, bought a clutch at Intermix on Robertson and saw a very preggo Alessandra Ambrosio, that night hit up Villa and then afterwards dropped by In-n-Out for a double-double.

Low-Rent Nicole Scherzinger's

Tonight is the season finale of the CW's, "Girlicious". Tiffs and I have this thing where we've been talking about the show the next day after each episode airs. I love me some Chrystina and Natalie because they are the prettiest of them all and they know it. Also, because they are Cali girls themselves. I don't care who comes in 3rd. Cali girls always think they are better than non-Cali girls.

E-V-E

Here she is in the MAC Viva Glam VI campaign. "Every cent of the selling price of VIVA GLAM VI Lipstick and Lipglass is donated to the MAC Aids Fund to support men, women, and children living with HIV and AIDS"

'Nuff said. Hugs n' xxx.

Dita von Teese would approve

Delicious, no? Lord Louboutin is going to open the first O.C. boutique in South Coast Plaza this year. I can't wait, I had dinner the other night at Marche Moderne, which is directly across from the new location and I was drooling, and it wasn't because of the cheese plate in front of me. For now, you can log on to http://www.saks.com/ for a whole lotta heaven.
